Maria Yolanda Chavez Sharpe, 41, died September 1, 1990 in San Jose, Calif. 
Born September 1, 1949 in El Paso, Texas to Raul and Guadalupe Escobedo Chavez. Married Steve Sharpe. later divorced. Graduate of Oceana High School in Pacifica, California. Attended Skyline College in Pacifica. California. Graduate of San Mateo College, with a degree in Associated 
Arts.Survived by daughter, Dezerea Maria Sharpe; mother, Lupe and step-father, Manuel Valdez; sister, Maria Victoria Valdez; father, Raul Chavez; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10 a.m., Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 715 West 300 
North. Vigil Service with Rosary will be held Thursday 7 p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell and Sons 
Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call Thursday 6 p.m. until time of service. 
Committal Service: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T St.
