In Memory

James Ezzell - Class Of 1969

James Ezzell

JAMES "JIM" KARL EZZELL Passed peacefully Aug. 18, 2007 at the VA Hospital in San Francisco. Jim was born June 7, 1951 in San Francisco and was raised in Pacifica. He was a 1969 graduate of Oceana High School. After graduation he joined the Army and served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1971. In 1974 he married his true love, Liz. Liz was the perfect partner for Jim. She encouraged him to realize his dreams - his own business, his love of camping, boating, skiing and moving to Lake County 10 years ago. As his partner she not only encouraged him but also joined in the fun, even when it wasn't what she thought would be fun. To know Jim was to know how much he loved and admired Liz. In 1978 their only child, Denise was born. For the next 40 years. Jim started and operated two successful auto restoration businesses. One in Fremont and one in Lakeport. Jim was well respected in the community. No words can describe how much he will be missed by his family and friends. His family was his life. He is survived by his wife, Liz; daughter, Denise (Steve) Patrick; sisters, Karen Ezzell and Sandra Ezzell-Garner; sister-in-law, Debbie Silva; brothers-in-law, Ken Hale, Charlie Garner and Bill Silva; mother-in-law, Mildred Jeans; nieces, Alexis and Cindy; nephews, Chris and Danny; five grand-nieces and nephews.
